Risk-adaptive AI is among the topics of Artificial Intelligence, Cybercrime and Cybersecurity, and Digital Transformation.

The term „risk-adaptive AI“ describes artificial intelligence systems that can change their behaviour depending on the level of risk. This means that risk-adaptive AI recognises how high the risk of a particular situation is and reacts flexibly to it. This plays a major role primarily in the field of IT security.

A practical example: Imagine an automated security system monitoring a company's data traffic. If the AI notices unusual activity, such as suspicious login attempts, it assesses the risk. Depending on how dangerous the situation appears, it requests additional security measures, such as two-factor authentication or an immediate notification to the IT team.

This adaptability better protects companies from cyberattacks, as the AI's response is not always the same, but depends on the identified risk. This filters out unimportant disruptions and detects and reports real threats much faster.
