Local Interpretable Model-agnostic Explanations (LIME) belongs to the Artificial Intelligence category and is frequently used in the fields of Big Data and Smart Data. LIME is a method that helps to make the decisions of complex AI models more transparent and understandable.

Many AI models make decisions that are difficult for humans to understand. This is precisely where LIME comes in: the method analyses why a model arrived at a particular result and explains this decision in an easily understandable way. LIME works independently of which AI model is used (“model-agnostic”).

This brings clarity to those responsible and helps to build trust in AI-based decisions.
