Brain-inspired AI is primarily finding its place in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and Industry and Industry 4.0. This is a special type of Artificial Intelligence that is modelled on the workings of the human brain. This means that instead of using rigid rules or classic programming, this AI learns independently through experience and imitation – similar to humans.

Imagine a robot arm in a factory needs to learn to grip fragile glasses. Using brain-inspired AI, the robot analyses many attempts and remembers which techniques were successful. Gradually, it develops an ever-improving „feel“ for the task – just like a human who becomes more skilled through practice.

Brain-inspired AI is therefore helping to make machines more flexible, adaptable and intelligent. This opens up new possibilities for automation and digitalisation, for example in quality control, maintenance or human-machine collaboration. This technology is still in its infancy, but has great potential to make everyday processes more efficient, safer and simpler.
