Hyperautomation is a term from the categories of automation, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. It describes the further development of classic automation: here, not only individual, repetitive tasks are taken over by machines, but entire business processes are automated through the targeted use of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotic process automation.

Unlike simple automation, hyperautomation involves digitising and networking complex processes and decision-making. This allows companies to work faster, more efficiently, and with less human effort.

A clear example: In an online shop, orders can be automatically accepted, checked, packed, dispatched, and even handled by a chatbot for queries – all without manual intervention. Hyperautomation enables these individual steps to work together seamlessly and intelligently. This leads to faster processes, low error rates, and increased customer satisfaction.

This makes hyperautomation a key lever for companies to remain competitive and to consistently develop digitally.
