Computer Vision AI is particularly important in the categories of Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Industry 4.0. This refers to a technology where computers or machines are equipped with „eyes“: they gain the ability to recognise and understand images and videos in a similar way to humans.

This Artificial Intelligence is trained to recognise and categorise objects, shapes, colours, or even people. This is done using large amounts of data and special learning methods. Computer Vision AI is used widely today – for example, in factory quality control. An intelligent camera system checks whether products are flawless and sorts out faulty parts before they are even packaged. This saves the company time and money.

In everyday life, we encounter Computer Vision AI, for example, when unlocking our phones using facial recognition or at automatic checkouts in supermarkets that recognise products by their appearance. Computer Vision AI thus supports companies in simplifying processes, reducing costs, and increasing quality.
