The term AI Ops (AIOps) is primarily found in the fields of artificial intelligence, automation, and big data and smart data. AIOps stands for „Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations“ and describes the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning to monitor, analyse, and automate IT processes.

With traditional tools, companies quickly hit limits when monitoring and troubleshooting their IT systems due to the ever-increasing amounts of data. With AI Ops (AIOps), intelligent systems automatically analyse vast amounts of data in real-time, recognise patterns and suggest solutions for disruptions.

A vivid example: An online shop notices that its website is loading unusually slowly. Instead of an employee manually checking all servers, an AIOps system immediately detects the strain, identifies the cause (e.g., database overload), and suggests measures directly – or even executes them automatically.

AIOps thus helps companies to make their IT infrastructure more stable, faster, and more efficient. This relieves specialists, saves costs, and ensures satisfied customers.
