Helpfulness Makes You Strong – An Adventure in the Neflental

In the colourful autumn, the Neflental is full of magic. The sun shines golden from the sky, and the forests glow in warm colours. On a clear morning, Rosa Immergrün awakes under the protection of the giant eagle fern leaves. She stretches, breathes in the fresh air, and marvels at the sparkle of the dewdrops.

Today, Rosa Immergrün has a special idea. She wants to visit the hidden heart of the violet clearing. This clearing lies deep in the woods, between sun-dappled beech trees and ferns. Violets and crocuses bloom everywhere in the most beautiful shades: violet, sun yellow, leaf green, and pearl grey. In the middle stands an old statue, surrounded by soft moss. In the morning, sunbeams strike its eyes, making them gleam mysteriously.

The Call from the Burning Bush Grove

On her way to Violet Clearing, Rosa Periwinkle passes by the Flame Bush Copse. The bushes there don't actually burn, but they glow a fiery red. It looks as though someone has painted flames onto the bushes. While Rosa Periwinkle is marveling, she suddenly hears a soft whimpering.

Behind one of the luminous bushes, Rosa Immergrün discovers the little Flossianer Finn. He is sitting there because he has injured his foot and cannot go home alone. Finn has tears in his eyes and doesn't know what to do. Rosa Immergrün doesn't hesitate; she sits down beside him.

That's how you help properly!

Sometimes someone needs help on exactly these kinds of days. Rosa Immergrün asks Finn what happened and listens to him carefully. She takes a clean cloth out of her bag, cools Finn's foot with a damp leaf, and speaks encouragingly to him. This already makes Finn feel a little better.

Because it would be too dangerous to leave Finn alone, Rosa Immergrün calls loudly for help. After a short time, Edda Buchianer hurries over. Together, they build a small stretcher from strong branches. They speak kindly to each other as they do so, and Finn realises that he can rely on the others.

Together they slowly and carefully carry Finn through the grove of luminous flame bushes. The leaves rustle softly, and the colours of the forest accompany them. Pink Evergreen always makes sure to reassure Finn. Edda holds the stretcher securely so that everything stays safe.

In the end, they reach the edge of the violet clearing. Finn's mother is already waiting here. She sincerely thanks Rosa Immergrün and Edda for their help. Finn can smile again, because now he is safe.

Helpfulness makes you strong

Helpfulness makes you strong, because you not only do good for others, but also for yourself. Rosa Immergrün feels satisfied and proud after the adventure. Without her help, Finn would not have found his way home so quickly. But together they managed to overcome obstacles and encourage each other.

In the Neflental, helpfulness isn't a magic word, but just part of everyday life. Everyone helps everyone because that makes life more pleasant. You can help too by being observant and supporting others. It doesn't require a grand adventure – sometimes a kind word or a helping hand is enough.

If you ever wander into the Bramblewood Grove or to the Violet Glade, remember Rosie Evergreen. She’ll show you that helpfulness makes you strong, because it connects hearts. And often wonderful friendships are born from it, friendships that last a lifetime.

What do we learn from this?

Helpfulness makes you strong. Those who help others are never alone. In the Neflental, you can see how valuable it is to be attentive, to listen, and to find solutions together. With helpfulness, you grow as a person and make life brighter – for yourself and for others.
