Generative AI is a term from the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and Automation. It describes programmes and machines that are capable of independently creating new content such as texts, images, music, or even entire videos. Unlike classic computer programmes, which only do exactly what they have been programmed to do beforehand, Generative AI can produce creative results from existing data.

A well-known example of Generative AI is a text generator that automatically writes a complete article based on a few keywords. Chatbots that respond independently to customer inquiries or image generators that create a realistic image from a simple description also belong to this technology.

Generative AI offers companies many opportunities, for example in the creation of product descriptions in online retail or in correspondence for customer service. It can also help in the marketing sector to produce engaging content quickly and easily. Generative AI thus saves time and opens up entirely new ways for digital content to be created.
