Emergency Robot (Glossary)

The term emergency robot comes from the categories of robots, automation, and artificial intelligence. Emergency robots are specialised machines used in dangerous or inaccessible situations to support or protect humans. They undertake tasks that would be too risky or impossible for us.

For example, an emergency robot can navigate through dense smoke in a burning building to find missing persons and perhaps even administer first aid. Such robots are also used in chemical accidents or after earthquakes to search for survivors or detect hazardous materials.

What makes emergency robots special is that they are often equipped with cameras, sensors, and sometimes even artificial intelligence. This allows them to assess the situation and act precisely, often even remotely controlled by rescue workers.

Emergency robots offer significant advantages for businesses and authorities. They make rescue operations safer and more efficient, as no human has to put themselves directly in danger. Especially in today's world, emergency robots are therefore becoming increasingly important.
