Joint Embedding Models (Glossary)

Joint embedding models are primarily found in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Smart Data, as well as Digital Transformation. These models help to transform different types of data in such a way that they can be evaluated and compared more effectively together.

Imagine you run an online shop and analyse customer reviews (text) as well as your users„ purchasing behaviour (numbers). Joint embedding models make it possible for both text and numerical data to be translated into a uniform “language". This allows artificial intelligence to more easily recognise connections between positive reviews and frequently purchased products.

This technology allows, for example, for more targeted product recommendations to be displayed or for patterns to be discovered in large, mixed data sets that were previously hidden. Joint embedding models therefore make an important contribution to making large amounts of data comprehensible and gaining valuable insights from them.

For businesses, this means they can make data-driven decisions faster and more effectively – a foundation for successful digital transformation and modern business models.
