Collective AI finds its place primarily in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Society, and HR work and teams. The term describes a form of Artificial Intelligence in which many individual people or machines pool knowledge and experience together. This collaboration is used to develop better solutions than an individual could achieve alone.

Imagine people in a company working on a new product at different locations. Everyone inputs their ideas and knowledge into a digital system. A collective AI analyses this data collection, recognises patterns, and suggests improvements based on them. This allows everyone to benefit from the best ideas from the team.

An everyday example of collective AI is online platforms that collect customer reviews. The artificial intelligence uses the many individual opinions to provide recommendations or identify trends. For example, an online shop can specifically improve its product selection and the shopping experience.

Collective AI helps companies and societies to react faster and more intelligently to challenges – by pooling the strengths of many.
