AI-powered robotics is particularly at home in the fields of artificial intelligence, automation, and industry and Industry 4.0. These are robots that not only perform simple, hard-coded movements but can also learn independently and adapt to new situations thanks to artificial intelligence.
In contrast to classic robots, an AI-powered robot recognises, for example via cameras or sensors, what is happening in its surroundings. It then decides independently how best to complete a task. For example, a robot in a factory can use AI not only to repeat the same movements endlessly but also to react flexibly to different products – for instance, it can recognise whether a component is seated correctly or needs to be replaced.
For companies, AI-powered robotics mean greater efficiency, fewer errors, and the ability to transfer entirely new tasks to robots. This technology is also being used more and more frequently in logistics and quality assurance. AI-powered robotics thus ensure that workflows become smarter, faster, and also more economical.
