Prompt libraries (Glossary)

In the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation, so-called prompt libraries are at home. Prompt libraries are collections of pre-made text modules or questions that are used to assign specific tasks to artificial intelligences like ChatGPT or to obtain particular answers.

Instead of formulating complicated instructions themselves, companies, teams, or individuals can access a prompt library and find suitable “prompts” there. This saves time and makes using AI systems easier and more efficient. These libraries are particularly useful for generating text, images, or analysing data.

A clear example: a marketing department wants to use AI to create social media posts. Instead of spending a long time thinking about how to give the AI the right instructions, the team uses a prompt library. There, they find a suitable example like „Write a creative Instagram post for our product X“. They give this prompt to the AI – and receive a suitable template in seconds.

Prompt libraries make it easier for so many users and businesses to access Artificial Intelligence and make the technology more commonplace.
