With Perseverance to the Dragon's Tooth Mountains: A Story from the Neflental

Today, the great splendor begins in the Neflental. The sun glitters like pure gold in the sky. All around, it smells of summer, and lanterns dance silently in the warm evening breeze. On the bank of a clear river, the inhabitants sit together, dressed in bright colours and full of joy. They are celebrating the most beautiful time of the year, yet one thought won't leave Rosa Immergrün.

The Dream of the Dragon's Tooth Mountains

As emerald green and sapphire blue swirl in the air, Rosa Immergrün looks to the horizon. The peaks of the Dragon's Tooth Mountains rise there, mysterious and powerful. Every child in the whole Neflental knows the stories about this place: the Bergsteins live here, hidden in glittering caves in the highest Dragon's Tooth. There's an observatory, a sauna, hot springs, and even secret tunnels full of shimmering gemstones. Rosa Immergrün has always wanted to see this world with her own eyes.

But the path into the Dragon's Tooth Mountains is steep. The air grows thin and the paths narrow. Many turn back at the foot of the mountain. But Rosa Immergrün doesn't want to give up! With perseverance, she wants to reach Glanzhoch to feel the power of the sun at the very top. „I can do this,“ she whispers, pulling her boots tighter.

The challenge in gleam high

Early in the morning, Rosa Immergrün begins her ascent. Golden sunbeams warm her back. The path winds through fern meadows and forests. Flowers glow coral red everywhere, birds sing and butterflies flutter by. Soon, however, the climb becomes harder as the stones become sharp and the moss slippery. The wind whistles around her ears, and every step feels like a small adventure.

On her journey, Rosa Evergreen meets other hikers. Some have doubts and consider turning back. But Rosa Evergreen laughs and calls out, „Together we will conquer the Dragon's Tooth Mountains! Let's not give up. Look, the summit isn't far at all.“

The light of the gemstones in the Dragon's Teeth Mountains

Higher and higher it goes, until suddenly light breaks from a rock in colourful sparks. There are the secret tunnels of the mountain stones! The gnomes sit close to a fire, their skin glowing silvert-grey in the golden glow. They tell stories of times when the first gemstones were found in the mountain. Crystals sparkle in the depths like little stars. Everyone listens, spellbound.

After a break, Rosa Immergrün sets off with renewed strength for the final few metres. The wind blows so strongly that it clears her thoughts. Each step upwards brings even more hope. Finally, with her friends, she reaches the highest point in the Dragon's Tooth Mountains – Glanzhoch! Here, the sky is particularly close, and the rivers below shimmer with golden light. The effort has been worthwhile.

Stay strong with perseverance

Rosa Immergrün looks back down at the valley. The path was difficult, but with patience and solidarity, she conquered the Dragon's Tooth Mountains. The stars now seem within reach, and the light of the lanterns still dances in the twilight. The music of the Glittering Heights Festival can be heard all the way up the mountain.

Deep down, Rosa Immergrün feels pride and joy. With perseverance, anyone can soar – even to Dragon's Tooth. And sometimes, she realises, the journey itself is the greatest adventure of all.
