Discovering diversity in the Neflental

The story begins one cold morning in the Neflental. The sun slowly rises over the mountains, bathing the Lichtglockental in a glorious play of colours: white-gold, light blue, smoky grey and amber. It is winter, and the snow glitters like gold dust on the meadows. Rosa Immergrün wakes up and rubs her sleepy eyes. A special adventure awaits today, because Rosa wants to find out how diversity makes the valley strong.

A special plan in the Crystal Gate

Rosa Immergrün marches across the crunching snowfields and soon reaches the Crystal Gate. This large, sparkling quartz archway glows particularly brightly today and seems like an entrance to another world. A colourful group is already waiting there. The Evergreens are there, the Buchians pull their warming root scarves tighter. Even the Mountain Stones have dared to come down from the heights. A few Flossians, who otherwise prefer to splash in the water, have also arrived. The white elves fly quietly through the clear air.

All the peoples of the Neflental are meeting here because a big problem needs solving: the ice on the little Sunlight Stream is frozen so thick that the fish can't get any oxygen. The animals and plants desperately need help! But each group has different ideas on how they could solve the problem.

Together we are strong

At the Crystal Gate, the Rock Stones suggest breaking up the ice with their gemstone chisels. The Buchians want to bore small holes with their nimble root claws. The Flossians know a special plant that can grow under the ice and revitalises the water. And the White Elves want to perform a sun dance with magic so that the rays melt the snow.

But first, they argue a little. Everyone thinks their suggestion is the best. Rosa Immergrün listens carefully to everything and thinks. Then Rosa calls the groups together and suggests: „Why don't we try everything together? Each of us can do something that the others cannot.“

A great team at Crystal Palace

Everyone quickly gets to work. The mountain stones carefully make notches in the ice. The Buchians bore small, round holes with their roots. Through these openings, the Flossians toss the special plants into the stream. Finally, the white elves dance in the winter air and draw the first sunbeams through the crystal gate. It glitters over the valley like a bell of light, and the ice begins to crack and melt.

In the Lightbell Valley, the snow sparkles even more beautifully now. The little fish are swimming freely again. The evergreens are rejoicing, and everyone is happy.

What do we learn from this?

In the great winter of the Neflental, the peoples succeeded together. Rosa Immergrün now knows even more: diversity makes you strong. Everyone brings their special abilities. This is how great tasks can be mastered, even if there's initial conflict. That's why the Neflental is such a wonderful place. Because there, everyone can be who they are – together they become a great team.
