Stories from the Neflental: Letting Trust Grow

In the Neflental, spring smells wonderfully sweet. In the dew-kissed grove, the fruit trees are blooming in pink and white. Meadows glow yellow with dandelions and little daisies look up at the sky. Butterflies flutter cheerfully around and a silver stream meanders through the pastel colours. It is a day full of magic and joy.

Rosa Immergrün runs across the soft meadows. She breathes in the scent of the blossoms deeply. Today, she wants to help her friend Lilja. Lilja, a bookian, is very afraid. Someone has told her that the old rock weasel from the Glowstone Hollow cannot be trusted. But Lilja must go there specifically to find her special stone for the spring festival. She feels unsure and doesn't know who she can believe.

Rosa Immergrün stops and thinks. She knows: trust is important. It makes life easier, healthy and cheerful. „Come on, Lilja!“ she calls out, taking her friend by the hand. They set off together and cross the blooming meadow. The flowers gleam like sparkling eyes, as if to say: „Don't be afraid!“

In the Neflental: The Task in the Glühstein Hollow

They will soon reach the Glowstone Hollow. Here lie many stones that glow faintly in the dark. The stones glimmer quite timidly, but that is what makes the place so special. Suddenly, there is a rustling in the bushes. The old rock weasel emerges. It looks at the two friends curiously and lifts its nose into the air. Lilja moves closer to Rosa. She remembers the warning words. But Rosa Immergrün smiles friendly and greets the rock weasel first. She politely asks it for help.

The rock weasel nods and gently shows them the most beautiful glow-stones in the soft moss. Lilja is amazed. She quickly realises: the rock weasel is friendly and helpful. Together they choose the stone for the festival. Lilja asks cautiously: „Can I really trust you?“ The rock weasel waves and winks: „Trust arises when we encourage each other and listen with an open heart.“

Learning to trust in the everyday life of the Neften Valley

As they choose the path back through the dew-kissed grove, Rosa Immergrün says: „Trust grows when we are honest with each other. We show that we are there for each other, no matter what happens.“ She tells Lilja how she herself was often uncertain. But whenever she trusted someone, it led to a new friendship. In this way, the two learned to listen to their hearts and have their own experiences.

In the Glade of Tauglanz, the air smells sweet, the pastel colours gleam. Rosa Immergrün and Lilja sit down in the grass. They watch the butterflies as they fly from blossom to blossom. „Trust is like a seed,“ explains Rosa Immergrün. „When you plant it, something wonderful grows in your heart. But you must water it often, for example, with kind words, keeping promises, and small gestures.“

In the evening, the two return to the celebration. Lilja's stone glows in soft colours. She laughs and thanks the rock marten. From now on, she knows that trust is much more beautiful than fear. In the Nefl valley, the animals and gnomes continue to tell this story again and again, as it shows how important trust is.

What do we learn from this?

Trust is a gift. It grows when we are brave. We learn that not everything we hear has to be true. It's best to approach others with an open heart. Those who trust find friends and feel safe. Every day in Neflental, the residents practice acting trustingly. You can strengthen trust in the same way: be honest, polite, and keep your promises. With every small step, the trust between you and others grows.
