Discover superpowers in your head

Spring shone in all its glory in the Neflental. Between the fern meadows and forests, the colours emerald, moss green, turquoise and bronze gleamed. Pink Periwinkle awoke one special morning and sensed that a day full of adventures awaited her. A gentle breeze carried the scent of fresh rain through the open window. Pink Periwinkle was determined to learn something new: how to discover one's own superpowers in the mind and show self-control.

The marble path beckons

After breakfast, Rosa ambled along a narrow path that seemed like it was straight out of a fairy tale. The marble path gleamed white and smoothly polished in the sunlight. It meandered through the fresh greenery, leading to a hidden waterfall. Along the way, Rosa heard the gentle splashing of the emerald river, its water sparkling like liquid gemstone in the light. It was the perfect place to think about superpowers of the mind and practice self-control.

Wishes, thoughts and feelings

Rosa reached the edge of the sparkling emerald river. So many colours shimmered on the banks that it almost looked like a dream. She sat down on a moss-covered stone and closed her eyes. Many thoughts surfaced in her mind: „I want to run to the waterfall immediately! But if I go too fast, I'll miss the beautiful details along the way. If I shout loudly, I might scare away the colourful dragonflies.“ Rosa could feel her heart beating faster because she was so excited. This was the moment she needed her superpowers in her mind.

Making decisions with superpowers in mind

Rosa remembered her friends„ words: “Superpowers in your head help you stay kind, even when you're angry." She took a deep breath of the cool spring air and quietly counted to ten. With each breath, she grew calmer. Instead of running off, she decided to walk mindfully. She saw the bronze-coloured leaves dancing across the path and heard the buzzing of the bees.

Because she used her superpowers in her mind, she felt stronger. She was proud because she could control herself. Thus, she missed nothing, but even discovered a small nest in the fern. The marble path led her safely to the waterfall. The spray glittered, and a rainbow spanned the water. Rosa knew: Self-control makes life more colourful.

When it all gets too much

Sometimes Rosa felt sad or impatient. Then she longed to scream or run away. But she practised activating her superpowers in her head again and again. She imagined how the emerald river stayed calm even when a stone was dropped into it. This made Rosa more confident and courageous with each passing day.

The colours of spring strengthened her heart: emerald and moss green soothed her. Turquoise reminded her of her dreams, while bronze represented her strength. With her thoughts, wishes and feelings, Rosa learned to cope well. And if she ever made a mistake, she simply treated herself kindly.

What do we learn from this?

Real superpowers in the head grow slowly, but they always help when you need them. Feelings and thoughts are allowed to exist – what matters is how you deal with them. Self-control makes life in the Neflental and everywhere else more colourful and cheerful.
