The secret to a successful day is a stress-free morning. Yet, many people rush through their mornings and are immediately tense. You can start your day more calmly and effectively by introducing a regular miReiki morning routine. Here I'll show you what such a miReiki morning routine can look like and why it's important to take 15 minutes for yourself every morning.
The significance of a morning miReiki meditation
Even a brief fifteen-minute morning self-care session can have a profound impact. In this short time, you can mentally prepare for the day, rebalance your energy, and centre yourself. A morning routine can help you to feel better overall, concentrate more effectively, and experience less stress.
Flow of miReiki Meditation
Take two minutes to wake up and breathe consciously.
Start your day with mindful breathing. Go to your happy place and sit or lie down comfortably, close your eyes, and breathe deeply in and out. Focus on your breath and how your body feels.
2. Gentle stretching exercises for three minutes
Try some light stretching exercises to wake up your body and get your circulation going. Bend to the side, raise your arms above your head, or stretch your whole body. Do what feels good for you and your body. You might also want to do 2–3 Sun Salutations (a yoga exercise).
3. Three minutes of appreciation and mindfulness
Sit up straight again and think about the good things in your life that you are experiencing right now. Feel the gratitude in your heart and list three things you are grateful for.
4. A five-minute miReiki morning routine with essential oils
Choose an essential oil that currently benefits you. Peppermint oil can help for a focused start, and bergamot oil is well-suited for an uplifting start. Put two drops into your palm, rub the oil together, and hold your palms in front of your nose, inhaling the scent of the oil deeply. Now, begin to place your hands. Place your hands on different parts of your body. Imagine Reiki energy flowing through your body. Imagine a white-gold light flowing through your hands into your body. Leave your hands in one place until you feel it's enough. Then, move to another spot on your body. For a start, choose 2–3 spots. You will notice over time where your body needs it.
5. Two minutes of optimistic affirmations
Finish your morning ritual by saying some encouraging affirmations. Tell yourself things like, „I feel good in my body,“ „I am ready for a successful day,“ or „I am relaxed and full of energy.“ Repeat these words out loud several times.
