Transformational robotics is primarily found in the fields of automation, industry and Industry 4.0, as well as robots in the home. The term describes robots that can flexibly adapt to different tasks and environments. Unlike conventional industrial robots, which are usually built for a single purpose, transformational robots can, for example, change their shape or equip themselves with different tools to perform various work steps.

A clear example: A robot in a car factory installs door handles in the morning and fits seats in the afternoon. Thanks to its adaptability, it can automatically switch between tasks without human intervention. This saves resources, reduces retooling times and makes production more flexible.

Transformational robotics is a key building block for the digital transformation of businesses. It enables processes to be made more efficient and scalable, and to react more quickly to market changes. Especially in a world where customer wishes are becoming increasingly individual, transformational robotics helps to manufacture products of all kinds economically and with high quality.
