Robot fleet management falls within the areas of automation, industry and Industry 4.0, and robotics. It describes all measures and systems with which companies control, monitor, and coordinate multiple robots simultaneously.

This is not about individual machines, but about entire groups – so-called robot fleets – that work together, for example in large warehouses or factories. The goal: the robots should complete tasks as efficiently as possible, avoid downtime and not hinder each other.

A vivid example: Imagine a large warehouse where dozens of autonomous transport robots are carrying packages from A to B. Using robot fleet management software, it is precisely controlled which robot takes which route, when it needs to be charged, and how collisions are avoided. Furthermore, failures can be detected and replacements scheduled directly.

This system helps companies save costs, make processes more flexible, and react faster to changes. Robot fleet management therefore plays a central role in modern, automated production and logistics.
