Conflict resolution made easy in the Neflental
A new summer day begins in the Neflental. The sun is already high in the sky, and its rays paint golden and amber patterns on the meadows. Today is the peak of brilliance, the most beautiful time of the year. Small lakes reflect the light everywhere, as if sparks were dancing on the water. The air is filled with laughter, as many are celebrating on the riverbanks. Colourful lanterns float in the still twilight. On the Pearl Slope, the morning dew glitters like scattered gemstones.
A dispute begins at Perlenhang.
On this special day, Rosa Immergrün meets her friends on the soft grass of Pearl Slope. They want to arrange figures on the slope together that will glow in the light. Emerald green, coral red, and sapphire blue, their fabrics sparkle in the sun. But suddenly, two friends fall out because they both want to set up the same glowing golden lantern. Their voices get louder and louder, and the festive mood sours.
Rosa Immergrün watches her friends. She sees disappointment and anger in their faces. The other children shift uncomfortably from one foot to the other. Some whisper or look sadly at the ground. The colours of summer lose their shine because harmony is absent.
Conflict resolution through listening and understanding
Rosa Immergrün takes a deep breath and suggests, „Let's listen to each other.“ One by one, they explain why the golden lantern is so important to them. As the friends speak, everyone listens attentively. No one interrupts another. This isn't easy, and sometimes it takes courage. But the friends feel how listening makes them calmer.
After a while, everyone understands why the others also like the lantern. One recounts that his grandfather used to tell him about glittering lanterns at the Glow High Festival. Another loves the golden light because it reminds him of a rare sunbeam in winter. Hearts become lighter because everyone feels heard.
This is how you find a solution together
Rosa Immergrün asks, „What can we do so that everyone is happy?“ The children think together. They decide to place the golden lantern in the middle of the square. Then they lay their colourful fabrics around it. This way, the light shines in all directions. Now everyone sees the beautiful glow and no one remains sad.
The celebration continues. Friendly voices and laughter fill the air. Peace settles once more over the Pearl Slope. The summer evening at Glorypeak remains a special experience for everyone. Rosa Immergrün and her friends discover that they are strong together. They realise that every argument can come to a happy ending if everyone participates.
What do we learn from this?
Arguments often begin quickly, but they can be resolved. Listening, asking questions, and thinking together helps. Everyone can say how they feel. And in the end, friends find a solution that is good for everyone. It's particularly wonderful when the sparkle and colours return to the Neflental once peace reigns again. This way, everyone becomes an argument hero!
