Winter awakens in Neflental

In the Neflental, snow lay on the fern leaves and the forests were silent. Winter had transformed everything. The peaks of the Crystal Ridge gleamed in the morning light. Ice and snow sparkled with crystalline clarity, sometimes steel-grey, sometimes sky-blue, or snow-white.

On this winter morning, Rosa Immergrün trudged across the glittering meadows. She wanted to hike to the Rainbow Falls. In the spray of the waterfall, rainbows of every colour shimmered. The animals and children of the Neflental loved this place. But today, something was different.

Cold and a problem at the crystal ridge

Rosa Immergrün arrived at the foot of the Crystal Ridge. The wind whistled so icily that even the tracks in the snow quickly blew away. Suddenly, she heard a shout. It sounded like a cry for help! Rosa Immergrün ran towards it and saw that a small Flossian was stuck in an ice crevice. He had tried to find a shortcut to the Rainbow Falls, but the ice was too slippery and he slid into it.

She didn't think for long. Rosa Immergrün waved to the evergreens who were playing nearby. „Come quickly! Together we can help!“ she called out loudly. The evergreens ran over. Each brought something: a strong branch, a tough rope, or courage and a lot of patience.

Stronger Together: Helpfulness at the Waterfall

With combined strength, they threw the rope to the Flossian. Rosa Immergrün encouraged him. „You can do it! We won't leave you alone!“ The Immergrüns pulled and pulled. Because they worked together, the little Flossian slowly came out of the crevice. Finally, he was free!

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. The Flossian thanked them and was very happy. They laughed together. Rosa Immergrün said: „This would never have succeeded alone. Because we helped each other, it worked!“ And everyone knew that it was true.

The Rainbow Falls celebrate friendship

They went together to the Rainbow Falls. There, the most beautiful colours played in the spray. Rosa Immergrün laughed as she saw the rainbows. „Everyone can do something, and together we can change the world!“ she called to the wind. The others nodded.

They helped each other onto the slippery stones. They laughed, sang and danced in the sparkling snow. Above the waterfalls stood colourful lights, and the sun conjured new rainbows in the air.

What do we learn from this?

Helpfulness changes the world. When you help someone, you are never alone, because others help you. Together, everyone is strong. Sometimes life is like a crystal comb: it is cold and difficult. But together, you can overcome even the highest ice towers. And in the end, everyone sees the rainbow.
