With perseverance, you can achieve anything! – A Story from the Neflental

There are many secret places in the Neflental. One of them is the Maple Fire Clearing. The trees there glow fiery red and orange in autumn, as if flames were dancing. Rosa Immergrün loved to go for walks here. But this time, she had a task. She wanted to find the path to the magical Mirror Time Clearing. Some claim that all seasons become visible there at once. Only those who show great courage and patience truly get there.

Rosa Immergrün packed her small rucksack and waved goodbye to the Buchians, who lived at the edge of the forest. They liked to sit beneath the colourful branches of the maple trees and collect the prettiest leaves. But Rosa had no time. She knew that the Time Mirror Glade was hard to find, and so she set off with great determination.

First, the path led through fern meadows. The fine dewdrops sparkled in the golden morning light. Rosa Immergrün still thought, this will surely be easy! But soon fallen branches and thorny bushes blocked the way. „I'm not turning back,“ she whispered. „With perseverance, I can do this!“ She climbed over a large stone, slipped briefly, but got right back up.

The difficulty is growing – but so is the courage!

Behind the bushes lay the Flossian lake. A narrow bridge of slippery stones connected the two banks. The water was an icy blue-grey and sparkled mysteriously. Rosa Immergrün felt her heart beat faster. „I've managed tougher things,“ she told herself. „With perseverance, I'll get further!“

She balanced carefully across the bridge with cautious steps. A stone wobbled, but Rosa Immergrün didn't fall. She stretched out her arms, took a deep breath, and concentrated on her goal. When she reached the other bank, she laughed out loud with joy. Golden leaves slowly fell down on her and adorned her path.

Slowly, the landscape began to change. Everything around Rosa Immergrün shimmered in a magical palette of colours: emerald green ferns, golden grasses, vermilion leaves and, in the distance, blue-grey hills. She rubbed her eyes – had she already reached her destination?

Finally, at the Time Mirror Clearing.

Rosa Immergrün suddenly discovered gleaming mirrors, which floated in the air like soap bubbles. She had arrived! Different images appeared in each mirror: a snowman, fresh blossoms, sunbeams, and colourful piles of leaves. With a single step, Rosa Immergrün could wander from spring to autumn and even feel a few snowflakes.

She spun in a circle. Each mirror showed something new. Rosa Immergrün beamed. She was happy she hadn't given up. With persistence, she had found the time mirror clearing. „I did it!“ she cheered. „Just because I kept going. No matter how hard it got!“

The mirrors sparkled in the blue light. A light wind played with the cinnabar-red leaves. Rosa Immergrün sat down on a soft patch of moss. She remembered all the difficulties. Now she knew what perseverance was good for. It takes you further than fear or giving up quickly. And sometimes, through it, you experience the most beautiful, most magical moment in the whole Neflental.

What do we learn from this?

Even if a path is long and full of obstacles, it's worth continuing. With perseverance, you can achieve anything – sometimes even what seems impossible to you. Take inspiration from Rosa Immergrün. Never give up and be amazed by the magic that awaits you when you stick with it.
