Changing the world responsibly: Rosa Immergrün in the Neflental

A new day begins in the Neflental. The morning mist settles like a fluffy cloak over the valley. On the cherry and violet trees, blossoms awaken in delicate colours. The pastel pink of the blossoms glows softly. Spiderwebs shimmer in the dewdrop light, mythical creatures dance as shadows across the meadows.

Rosa Immergrün is awake very early today. A special day lies ahead of her, as she has an important task. A Flossianer is already waiting for her on the shore of the Crystal Lake. He waves, so that the dewdrops sparkle in the air. The Crystal Lake is so clear and calm that the last stars of the night sky glisten in it. The stilt houses of the Flossianer look beautiful. Mosaics of shells and pearls adorn each house. Every stone in the water tells of the deep mysteries of the lake.

The Great Wind and the Little Courage

Today is blossom watch – the time when the whole valley awakes again. But something happened overnight. A strong wind uprooted many cherry blossom trees by the lake. Some of the Flossian's houses are now leaning or have gotten wet. Sad faces are reflected in the pearly white lake. Many animals can no longer find their way back to their nests.

Rosa Immergrün walks across the damp grass, past bright violets. She feels her heart tell her: „You can help!“ Other residents join her, but hesitate. Some fear doing the wrong thing or losing their strength. But Rosa Immergrün stops and calls out: „Someone has to start! Together, we can do this!“

How responsibility begins

She carefully pulls away some moss-covered branches and lifts a small Flossianer fish out of the wet grass. A few Evergreens watch as she bravely takes things step by step. They bring cloths. The Buchianers help to prop up the crooked houses with strong roots. The Flossianers mend the mosaics with new shells. Everyone does what they do best – because Rosa Evergreen has started to take responsibility.

Time passes, and the sun climbs higher. The mist is clearing. Small colourful ribbons now hang from the trees, adorning the places where blossoms once were. The young Flossians, smiling, paint new pictures made of beads onto the house walls. The little mythical creatures dance joyfully between the bushes, as they have found a new hiding place. Rosa Immergrün sees the valley finding hope again.

The Magic of the Crystal Lake

As night falls, the stars shine again on the lake. The stilt houses gleam brighter than yesterday. Clear water waves carry new stories to the inhabitants. The Flossians tell of how Rosa Immergrün had the courage to take the first step. They admire how she took responsibility. Soon, the younger ones also dare more – because they see that it is worthwhile when you help and talk to others.

What do we learn from this?

Taking responsibility can be difficult at times. But when you start, many often help out. In Neflental, it's worth not just standing by. Those who bear responsibility make the world brighter. You can change things for the better if you dare. Just like Rosa Immergrün by Crystal Lake.
