The networking of the real world with cyberspace requires that the machines deployed are also capable of drawing the appropriate conclusions from the knowledge gained. Thus, data volumes can consist of market observations on the one hand, and video files in other cases. The latter are of particular interest to supermarkets, for example. For them, it is important to know at what times and with what target groups, such as families or seniors, they can expect customers.

However, Big Data analyses can go a crucial step further here and, for example, interpret their mood based on facial expressions. In addition to mere sales figures, owners thus also know which presentation of new products met with approval or rejection from customers.

An important factor in industry is real-time analysis. In current regional, national, and global competitive situations, companies rely on obtaining analysis results as quickly as possible. Real-time analyses not only show short-term trends but also feed databases every second, leading to increasingly accurate results over days, months, and years.
