With humour, it'll be cool – A day in the Neflental

Spring is slowly arriving in the Neflental. The last snow still covers the meadows. But where the sun rises, the light in the Lichtglockental glitters like golden dust. The colours shine: white-gold, light blue, smoky grey, and amber.

On an early morning, Rosa Immergrün and her friend Finn decide to discover a new path. Today, they want to visit a special place in the Neflental valley. They take the narrow path along Moonlight Alley. The path winds through the old fern forest. Above their heads, the silver light of the full moon dances in small patches, as if playing with fireflies.

„It'll be cool with humour,“ thinks Rosa Immergrün, as she stumbles over a particularly large fern. Finn giggles. "Are you sure you don't want to be a fern sprite?" he calls out. Rosa Immergrün giggles back. No one has probably ever done such an involuntary pirouette down Moonlight Alley before.

They walk on, and Finn and Rosa Immergrün keep making up little jokes. They make funny fern hats and moss caps. Finn puts a leaf in his ear and suddenly speaks in a deep voice: „I am the king of the light!“ Now Rosa Immergrün has to laugh out loud too. With humour it becomes cool, because laughter is contagious. Soon their laughter echoes through the whole valley.

The path leads them deeper into the VALLEY OF GLITTERING LIGHT. There, the last snow glitters like a carpet of golden gemstones. Suddenly, they hear a rustling in the undergrowth. A mischievous rabbit peeks out from its hiding place. Rosa Immergrün laughs: „Do you know what’s funny? I think he understands our jokes!“ The rabbit twitches its ears as if it too has to grin.

They sit down in a sunny clearing. Rosa Immergrün gathers a bit of the golden snow. They form small snowballs and throw them at each other. Finn hits Rosa Immergrün right on the nose. She laughs so hard she almost falls into the soft snow. „With humour, it's cool!“ calls Rosa Immergrün, her voice sounding like a song.

After a while, they decide to have a fun snow competition in the Lightbell Valley. Who can build the funniest snowman? Rosa Evergreen decides on two large ears made of fern. Finn gives his a giant pair of spectacles made of smoky grey pebbles. Both friends giggle because their snowmen look so crazy.

Laughter makes you feel light. When worries reside in your heart, jokes simply blow them away. They know this even better now. Because just as Finn loses his snowman ear, Rosa Immergrün falls backward into the snow with laughter. „There was a nose fern!“ Finn shouts. And already, both of them are bent over with laughter again.

As the sun climbs higher, the Lightbell Valley sparkles in all its colours. Pink Periwinkle and Finn run back along Moonlight Alley path. They know that a day filled with laughter is twice as wonderful. And with humour, it becomes cool, because great joy can grow from small mishaps.

What do we learn from this?

With humour, things become cool – making every day in Neflental easier, more cheerful, and more colourful. Laughter chases away the clouds in your head. And in a world full of lights and colours, laughter makes everything a little brighter.
