The term 'gripper arm' is primarily at home in the fields of automation, industry and Industry 4.0, and robotics. A gripper arm is a mechanical arm that functions similarly to a human arm. It can grasp, move, and place things in another location – entirely automatically or by remote control.

Gripper arms are often used in factories, for example in car manufacturing. There, the gripper arm picks up heavy car parts and places them precisely in the right spot, where they can then be further assembled. This saves time and effort and ensures that work proceeds precisely and safely.

A gripper arm usually consists of several movable joints as well as a “hand” or „gripper clamp“, which can be shaped differently – depending on what it is meant to grip. With modern technology, gripper arms can today precisely move very small, light, or delicate objects. As a result, they also play an important role in products from the field of 3D printing or in the food industry.

In summary: A gripper arm takes over tasks wherever precision, speed, and gentle handling are important.
