End the day with a Reiki treatment

In our busy society, it's more important than ever to make time for self-care and relaxation. A 15-minute Reiki treatment in the evening is a simple and effective way to unwind and regenerate both body and mind. This quick but powerful method can help reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and boost overall well-being. I'll explain how you can incorporate this life-changing habit into your daily routine.

miReiki: What is it?

miReiki is a modern evolution of the classic Reiki technique, using energy work to support well-being and inner balance. It combines the foundations of traditional Reiki with additional approaches from aromatherapy, meditation, yoga, and breathing exercises to promote comprehensive relaxation and balance.

Preparation for the evening miReiki treatment

Here you will learn how to end your day with a miReiki treatment. Make sure you are in a quiet, comfortable place where you will not be disturbed before you begin your 15-minute miReiki treatment. Dim the lights and create a calm atmosphere. To promote relaxation, you can also use essential oils such as chamomile or lavender in a diffuser.

The fifteen-minute MiReiki treatment

Minutes 1-2: Breathing exercise

Close your eyes and take a comfortable seat. Breathe in deeply through your nose, and then slowly exhale through your mouth. Focus on deepening and calming your breath. This breathing exercise will help to quiet the mind and prepare the body for the treatment to follow.

Minutes 3–5: Grounding and Focusing

Place your hands on your heart and imagine that you are part of the global energy. Imagine receiving light from above, which flows through your body and grounds you. With classic Reiki, you ask for universal energy. This phase helps you to centre yourself and attune to the energy work.

Minutes 6–10: Hand positions

Start at the eyes and work your way down to the temples, ears, neck and shoulders using the traditional Reiki hand positions. Hold each position for about a minute, feeling the energy flowing through your hands. Follow your intuition and focus more on the areas that need more attention. Over time, you will notice where to spend more time and where almost no energy is needed.

Minutes 11–13: Aligning the energy flow

Place one hand on your upper abdomen, the solar plexus, and the other on your heart. Imagine energy flowing harmoniously between these two points, clearing any obstacles and restoring balance. This exercise can promote a sense of equilibrium and inner peace.

Minutes 14–15: Conclusion and Appreciation

Placing your hands on your heart again concludes the exercise. Breathe in deeply, breathe out, and thank the universal energy and yourself for this experience. Slowly open your eyes and take in the calm atmosphere.

After treatment

Enjoy the peace and serenity that the miReiki treatment has brought you for a while. If you are grateful for something, write it in your gratitude journal. It will remind you of all the good things that have already happened in your life during times when you may have nothing to smile about.
Drink a glass of water or some warm tea and keep away from distractions or sudden tension. This procedure will help you recover from the day and prepare for a peaceful night's rest.
An evening 15-minute miReiki treatment can make a big difference to your health. By combining energy work, breathing techniques and meditation, you can achieve inner peace, balance your energy and reduce stress. Experience the potential of miReiki treatment by integrating this simple yet effective programme into your daily routine.
Give it a try and follow the guidance of universal energy; your body and mind will appreciate it.
Put yourself and your health at the centre.

Reiki and conventional medicine

Reiki, an alternative healing method from Asia, is increasingly finding its way into conventional medical practice and is being used as a complementary form of therapy[1][5].

Dr Detlef Klünner, a gynaecologist at Helios Klinik Wesermarsch, is integrating Reiki and other alternative healing methods into his treatment concept[1]. He emphasises that Reiki can be used in a variety of ways and may have the following effects:

– Relaxation and release of tension
Breaking pain cycles
– Support for self-healing
– Immune system activation

Reiki is used in clinical practice alongside other alternative methods such as acupuncture and homeopathy. It can be applied for tension, back pain, or to provide support during childbirth, for example [1].

The integration of Reiki into conventional medicine is based on the idea that energetic healing methods can complement classical medical treatment. While conventional medicine focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of symptoms, Reiki aims to harmonise body and mind and activate the body's self-healing powers.

It is important to emphasize that Reiki is understood as a complementary therapy that supplements, but does not replace, conventional medical treatment. The combination of both approaches aims to lead to a more holistic treatment concept that takes into account both the physical and energetic aspects of health.
