With consideration, the world becomes more colourful in the Neflental
The day begins quietly and peacefully in the Neflental. The sun hangs low, casting golden streaks across the violet clearing. Here, violets and crocuses grow everywhere. In the centre stands a statue, old and covered in soft moss. Sometimes a sunbeam flashes into the statue's eyes there, bathing it in an ethereal light. Everything glows in violet, sun-yellow, leaf-green, and pearl-grey.
Rosa Immergrün hops over the clearing and collects a few crocuses for a very special celebration. After all, it's the start of spring today! All creatures in the Neflental celebrate together, but this time there's a problem.
Some birds are chirping louder than usual, and the little flappers by the lake are barking joyfully at each other. In this way, the voices of the Buchians are easily overlooked because they prefer to speak quietly. The Evergreens, while they do like to talk, prefer to make sure they don't interrupt anyone. The Bergsteins are looking forward to the festival, but they need their peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle, and prefer to hide behind stones.
Rosa Immergrün notices that not everyone is happy. She wonders what she can do so that no one feels left out. So she sits down on a deep green fern and thinks. „If everyone is loud and no one listens, the valley stays quiet, even though there are so many wonderful sounds,“ she ponders.
A walk to the Lily Pond
Because Rosa Immergrün is looking for new ideas, she walks to the Crystal Lake. The Water Lily Bay lies there. It looks calm and peaceful. Large, round leaves float on the water, delicate white blossoms dance in the warm spring breeze. Colourful fish glide beneath them. Dragonflies with shimmering wings buzz in the warm air along the shore.
Rosa Immergrün watches how the fish do not bump into each other, but make way so that everyone can swim. The dragonflies also flutter around each other without disturbing one another. Everyone respects the others and ensures that there is enough space for everyone.
Rosa Immergrün understands: In the lily pond, coexistence works because everyone is considerate of each other! And that's why everything looks so colourful and lively.
The Big Spring Festival
With this idea, Rosie the Rosy Periwinkle runs back to the Violet Clearing. She calls all the peoples together and tells them what she saw in the Water Lily Bay. „If we listen to each other and pay attention to each other, our festival will be even more beautiful! Everyone brings their colours, and together the Neflental will be more colourful!“ says Rosie the Rosy Periwinkle cheerfully.
The Evergreens let the little ones have the first circle when dancing, because they can slip through anywhere. The Buchians speak loud enough for everyone to hear, and the Flossians don't splash too wildly in the water so that the singing of the birds remains audible. The Rockies also come out of their caves and tell star-dazzling stories around the campfire.
Because everyone is being so considerate, everyone is having fun. The colours of the festival shine even brighter than usual. In the light of the evening sun, the violets glisten, the colourful fish in the lake sparkle, and even the statue in the clearing seems to smile.
What do we learn from this?
With consideration, coexistence becomes more beautiful and colourful. When everyone contributes their own voice while also paying attention to others, a true celebration emerges. In the Neflental, residents practice being friendly and considerate every day. This makes life happier – for everyone.
