The Big Dream on the Star Meadow

Rosa Immergrün sits by the bank, while her friends laugh around the campfire. She gazes up at the distant meadow of stars. She has a very special dream. Rosa wants to reach the meadow of stars tonight. No one from her village has ever managed it. But the wish in Rosa's heart burns as brightly as the lanterns over the water.

The Star Meadow is a lonely high alpine pasture in the Neflental. Tiny, luminous flowers bloom there in the darkness. They shimmer in all colours, just like stars. Whoever enters the Star Meadow can wish for a dream. But the path is long and steep, and only the very brave can make it.

Many friends say: „The path to the starry meadow is far too difficult. It's not worth making such an effort!“ But Rosa thinks differently. She knows that big dreams are only achieved with ambition. So she packs her small rucksack and resolves not to give up.

The first steps lead through glittering fields. Distantly, the laughter of summer can still be heard. But the path quickly becomes steeper. Sometimes Rosa is startled when a branch cracks. She is afraid, but her ambition drives her onward.

Halfway there, it gets dark. The wind whistles softly. Rosa thinks of her dream of the starry meadow. She tells herself: „I want to see the starry meadow. I'm not giving up!“ So she keeps climbing, step by step. Sometimes she slips, but she always gets back up.

The light of the star meadow bathes the night in luminous patterns. Rosa walks the final stretch very slowly. She savours every step. Then she steps onto the meadow. The small flowers glow. They flicker like an open sky in the middle of the earth.

Rosa feels free and proud. Ambition has brought her here. She looks up and whispers her biggest dream to the wind. At that moment, lanterns from the summer festival gently appear over the valley. Her heart beats with joy. Only those who, like Rosa, do not give up, experience such wonders in the Neflental.
