GAN-powered simulation (Glossary)

(1221)

The term „GAN-supported simulation“ is primarily found in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Industry and Industry 4.0, as well as Big Data and Smart Data. This involves a technology where Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) are used to create realistic simulations on a computer.

Imagine you work in a factory and want to know how a new machine will affect the production process, without actually having to buy it. A GAN-powered simulation generates virtual models of machines, products, or even entire production processes. These replicas are so detailed that companies can use them to test processes, identify error sources, or save costs – before anything is changed in reality.

Thanks to GAN-powered simulation, large volumes of data from the past or from similar operations are also used to develop ever-better and more realistic scenarios. This innovative method thus helps to make decisions more safely, to accelerate development processes and to minimise investment risks.
