Reliability at Crystal Lake: Punctual as the Flossians on the twilight run

In the Neflental, the residents experience many magical moments. Especially at the Crystal Lake, where the water is as smooth as glass and the stars reflect in it at night, the strangest stories happen. The Flossians live in intricately woven stilt houses. These water gnomes love mosaics made of shells and pearls. With them, they tell of the wonders of the deep.

One day, the Twilight Run announced itself. This is a time when everything in the Neflental becomes different. The trees bend from the wind in a violet-pink haze. Mist moves across the land and the mirrors, which seem to float above the lake, show all four seasons at once. Anyone who looks closely can discover shadowy figures. They carry their dreams like little balls of light before them. In this special time, every minute counts, because the Twilight Run does not last long.

An important assignment at Crystal Lake

This morning, Rosa Periwinkle hopped excitedly over the damp leaves and fern meadows, straight to the shore of Crystal Lake. It was her mission to be on time for the Flossians. Today they needed help with the great Lichterlauf across the water. Only if all the inhabitants of the valley worked together in time could they launch the magical boat procession.

The twilight run allowed no delay. Everything in the valley had to function like a grand clockwork. And because reliability was so important, the elder of the Flossians relied on Rosa’s punctuality. The little Periwinkle had often become known for her faithfulness.

The path through the surreal landscape

On her way, Rosa noticed how the mist enveloped everything. The ground glistened a silvery grey. Purple shadows danced around her and the air smelled of damp moss. The mirrors on the bank showed sunshine, rain and sometimes even snow – all at the same time. Some Flossians hurried past, their pearl necklaces tinkling softly and spheres of light flickering at their hips. But no one lost sight of the time, because the twilight run only glowed for a short while.

Reliability among the Flossians

When Rosa arrived at the stilt villages of the Flossians, the small boats were already waiting in the twilight. Each one was adorned with shells, pearls, and glittering stones. The Flossians stood ready; they firmly believed that everything would succeed – only together, only on time.

Rosa was halfway through decorating the last boats as the first stars appeared on the horizon. With practised hands, she arranged the shells and told the children a story about the last twilight race. The Flossians smiled. They knew how important reliability was for a successful festival. When everyone arrived on time, the boats shone particularly brightly.

The great event at Crystal Lake

When everything was ready, the Flossians and Rosa got into the boats. The reflections on the water shimmered in rosé, purple, and silver. Suddenly, the procession of lights began to glide. Lamps of coloured glass lit up everywhere. The boats glided evenly over the still water, on time and in perfect order. The reliability of everyone involved was particularly important now. Because only then could the lights unfold their full power.

The crystal lake mirrored the colourful picture like a glassy dream. The Flossians sang songs that praised the water spirits. Rosa listened as the boat lanterns darted across the water like dancing fireflies. Every visitor on the shore marvelled at the harmonious togetherness. In the end, everyone returned on time. Thus, the festival shone long in their hearts – as brightly as reliability in the twilight run.

What do we learn from this?

Those who are punctual and reliable make celebrations special. At Crystal Lake, everyone helps one another so that small lights can become a big, radiant celebration. This only works because everyone can rely on the others. Being punctual is important, just as the Flossians show during the twilight run. Everyone can experience and pass on reliability – day by day in the Neflental.
