Stronger together – helpfulness in the Neflental

In the Neflental, the world is as if enchanted. Today it shines in the wonderful season of Frostnacht. The trees stand bare, but the hoarfrost glitters on their branches like sugar. Snow falls softly. The snowflakes carry small memories. Moonlight and distant bell chimes float through the night. The sky paints everything in silver-white, midnight blue and crystal clear.

The cry for help in the Frostnight Forest

In the middle of this magical night, Rosa Immergrün trudges through the snow-covered forest. She loves the glow of each snowflake. Suddenly, she hears a faint cry. Rosa stops and listens. The sound comes from the Bernblütenhain, a place full of golden-yellow blossoms that smell of honey and summer rain, even in the icy winter.

Without hesitation, Rosa follows the sound. She carefully pushes aside branches covered in glistening frost. There, among the blossoms, sits little Flossian Mio. He has lost his way. His paws are cold, and fear is etched on his face.

Finding solutions together

Rosa sits down next to Mio. She speaks to him reassuringly. „What happened?“ she asks quietly. Mio sniffs and explains that he got lost while collecting winter algae. He wanted to help his family, but now he needs help himself.

Instead of thinking for a long time, Rosa takes Mio's ice-cold hand. She tells of a shortcut she knows. But the path is hard to find in the deep snow. Therefore, Rosa calls for the forest dwellers. Soon Tilla Buchianer and Lenny Bergstein appear by her side. Tilla has warm leaf blankets with her, which she lays around Mio. Lenny holds up a lantern so that they can see the safe path in the silvery white light.

Everyone helps where they can

Together they take most of the steps back to the valley. Tilla carries the blanket, Lenny lights the way. Rosa speaks words of encouragement and holds Mio’s hand. Mio’s family is already waiting excitedly on the shore of the Crystal Lake. When they see him, everyone rushes joyfully towards the group.

Mio beamed – not just with joy, but also with relief. Thanks to Rosa's courage, Tillia's blanket and Lenny's light, the group had succeeded together. In the Neflental, everyone now knows: helpfulness makes you strong and connects different peoples.

What do we learn from this?

In the Neflental, everyone helps because togetherness makes us strong. Sometimes a task feels too big when you're on your own. But if you ask friends for help, you'll manage it together. It's not a bad thing to need help yourself sometimes. Those who help often give others the courage to help too. This way, the bond between people grows ever stronger. And those who help with their heart make the Neflental a special place.
