Sustainability in Brilliant Bloom: Pink Periwinkle and the Amber Blossom Grove
On a summer day at the peak of its glory, when sunlight danced like amber across the meadows, Rosa Immergrün set off for the Bernblütenhain. The golden-yellow blossoms smelled of honey and summer rain, luring many visitors. Colourful lanterns floated gently through the air, while children and adults played by the river and sat around small campfires. The sky glowed sapphire blue, and the river water sparkled like liquid glass.
Celebrating together – but how?
The people in the Neflental looked forward to the big summer evening, as the colours and lights made the festival particularly beautiful. Rosa Immergrün diligently helped with the preparations. The valley was to remain clean and friendly, so that the animals and plants could also celebrate joyfully.
Rosa Immergrün had many simple tips that anyone could try. Not everyone knew that sustainability starts with the small things. So Rosa Immergrün began to tell everyone about her ideas and showed how to make the world a little better day by day.
Living sustainably – simple everyday tips
First, Rosa Immergrün called on everyone not to throw their rubbish on the ground. Everyone set up large bins for paper, apple cores and old bread. This way, everyone could sort and recycle their rubbish properly. The Flossians from the Crystal Lake collected the waste that had ended up in the water. Rosa Immergrün praised the children for collecting so diligently and looking after their environment.
Rosa Immergrün suggested that everyone bring their own drinking vessel. This way, no one had to throw away cups. The Buchians served fresh berry juice in colourful cups, which were washed at the end of the day. No one wasted water, as with a large jug and several cups, everyone saved a lot of time and water.
Rosa Immergrün asked her friends not to pick any flowers from the Bernblossom Grove. Only in this way could just as many flowers grow next year, and the bees and butterflies would remain happy. The valley stayed full of life because everyone observed the rules. In this way, the Bernblossom Grove became even more beautiful.
Small steps, big impact
Sometimes one believes that one's own actions are unimportant. Rosa Immergrün showed that many small things together achieve great things. Together, the guests collected all the leftover lanterns so that no paper lay on the meadows. Even the youngest helped. The mood remained cheerful because everyone realised how nice it is when the valley stays clean.
Around the campfire that evening, everyone sang songs together about living in harmony with nature. The golden sun bathed the bearberry grove and the riverbanks in coral red and emerald green. The peak of summer gifted everyone energy and much joy.
What do we learn from this?
Sustainability begins with each of us. Even small things like waste separation, reusable drinking vessels, and consideration for nature help to preserve the world. If many people pay attention to these things together, even a large festival in Neflental like Glanzhoch can be a success in an environmentally friendly way. Follow the examples from Neflental, because every little bit helps!
