Justice in the Neflental – A Story with Rosa Immergrün

In the Neflental, the day begins as the first rays of sun illuminate the Emerald Dale. The green grass glitters like precious stones in the spring. Rosa Immergrün walks quickly through the hollow, feeling the cool, damp grass beneath her feet. She can already hear the cheerful laughter of the Buchians from afar, living on the edge of the Emerald Dale.

Today is a special day in the Nefl Valley. A grand festival is being celebrated, bringing all peoples together. Justice is at the heart of it, because everyone feels: Only together and fairly can there be a good life for all. And so, everyone makes their way to the Frostglanzhain. There, the silver birch trunks sparkle in the cool light, and the frost glitters like diamonds. The colours blend into silver-white, midnight blue, smoke grey, and ice blue. The mood is festive as Rosa Immergrün arrives.

Looking for a one-size-fits-all solution

Rosa Immergrün quickly notices that today is not just about celebrating. Last winter, the frost was harsh, and many supplies ran low. The Flossians have enough fish in the Crystal Lake, but the Bergsteins have hardly any nuts and roots left. The Buchians are asking if they could share some of the abundant harvest. However, some Flossians would prefer to keep everything for themselves because they worked hard.

Rosa Immergrün listens attentively to both sides and thinks. She knows that justice means: everyone gets what they really need. But everyone should also contribute something themselves. In a calm voice, she suggests that the Flossians share fish with the Bergsteins and Buchians. In return, the Bergsteins will help build new huts, and the Buchians will bring sweet berries from the forest.

Justice feels right for everyone

All the children of the valley listen intently. Rosa Immergrün explains: “When we share and look after each other, it's fair for everyone. Fairness makes the Nefl valley strong and no one is left alone.” The white elves nod and smile. They know: fairness brings light on dark days.

Soon, everyone will lend a hand. The Flossians will bring their fish, the Bergsteins will help with construction, and the Buchians will distribute berries. In the Frostglade, they laugh and dance together under the frost-sparkling branches. The silvery light and friendly sharing make worries disappear. Thus, a great, diverse community is created.

Why justice must live in the Neflental

The inhabitants of Emerald Dale and Frostglow Grove realise that without justice, strife and sadness arise. But even small steps, a kind word, or a helping hand can build trust. Rosie Periwinkle sees how every small gesture counts. She knows that peace will only reign in the Nefel Valley if justice is there for everyone. Whether in spring, when the green grass shines, or in winter, when the frost transforms everything – justice holds the valley together.

What do we learn from this?

When we share, listen and are fair, everyone benefits. Fairness makes us strong, connects us and brings joy – just like in the Neflental. No one is too small to make a contribution, and together we are more. That's why fairness is important, not just for Rosa Immergrün and her friends, but for all of us.
