Justice for all in the Neflental
A very special magic reigned in the Neflental on this day. It was the Blossom Watch. The valley lay in the delicate dawn, mist covered the ground, letting the cherry and violet blossoms on the ancient, moss-covered trees shine like tiny lights. Fine spiderwebs sparkled in the dew, and mysterious mythical creatures scurried as shadows through the greenery everywhere. The colours in the valley were reminiscent of a treasure: pastel pink and lilac on the blossoms, emerald green on the ferns and pearly white on the glistening mist.
Rosa Immergrün woke up early. She loved that special time. Even in the first light, her thoughts went outside, because she was expecting an important day. Today, a big meeting of all the valley dwellers was to take place in the Maplefire Clearing. The maple trees there glowed red and orange in autumn, like real fires in the wind. Everyone was excited, because they knew an important topic was to be discussed: justice for everyone in the valley.
A problem on the Maple Fire Clearing
In the morning, Rosa Immergrün and her friends made their way across the fern meadows to the Maple Fire clearing. There, the light sparkled through the branches; it was as if flames were dancing between the colourful leaves. Many inhabitants had already gathered: Buchians from the forests, Bergsteins from high above, Flossians from the Crystal Lake, and even the white elves. The mythical creatures also kept themselves hidden in the shade of the trees, waiting quietly.
Some Flossians seemed sad. One of them explained that they didn't feel treated fairly. They were rarely allowed to participate in the games on the meadows, and their wishes were often forgotten because they spent more time by the water than the others. The Buchians nodded. They sometimes felt excluded too, because they lived in the dense forest and couldn't be at every meeting.
Rosa Immergrün has an idea
Rosa Immergrün listened attentively to everyone. She felt that justice for all in the Neflental was necessary so that everyone could feel comfortable. She stood up, looked around, and asked, „Do you know what justice means? Is it when one person always wins, or when we all help each other and support one another?“
The Mountain Stones called out that they often help others with their gemstone lanterns in the dark. The Bookians told that they like to share fruit from the forest. The Flossians explained that they give away the most beautiful shells from the lake to anyone who is sad. Then it became clear to everyone: Justice means that no one is excluded and every voice counts, no matter how different they are!
A new plan for the Neflental
Rosa Immergrün suggested that from now on all the peoples of the Neflental should be consulted for games, festivals, and decisions. She added how important it is to sometimes help others and listen, because everyone needs something different. This way, justice for all can be achieved. The inhabitants found the suggestion very good. They decided to celebrate a big festival where everyone would contribute something. Some brought delicious berries, others shells, and still others colourful leaves. Thus, a riotous festival was created, where everyone was happy and no one was excluded anymore.
From this day on, everyone made sure not to forget anyone. They asked about each other’s wishes and listened carefully. If someone was sad, they helped them together. They realised how strong they could be together. Justice for all made them as a community much stronger than before!
What do we learn from this?
If we look out for each other, it makes us strong. Everyone is important, whether they live by the water, in the woods, or in the meadow. Justice for all means not forgetting anyone and always listening. It is exciting to discover how different everyone is and how much you can achieve together. In the Neflental, this friendship and justice lasted forever because it reminded everyone that every person and every creature counts.
