Resolving conflicts in the Neflental with ease

The blossom watch began in the Neflental. Early mist hovered over the valley floor, bathing everything in pastel pink, lilac, and emerald green. Cherry and violet blossoms glowed on old trees. Between the glistening dewdrops, fine spiderwebs sparkled like strings of pearls. In this magical time, mythical creatures awoke silently between the tree trunks, observing every living thing emerge from its winter slumber.

This morning, Rosa Immergrün set off for Crystal Lake. A gentle mist lay over the water. The stilt houses of the Flossians rose like small islands from the glassy surface. The colourful mosaics of shells and pearls sparkled even in the morning light. Rosa wanted to visit her friend Lillifloss to marvel at the first blossoms together.

A problem at the lake

When Rosa arrived at the bank, she heard loud voices. Two Flossians, Toti and Finn, were arguing heatedly in front of their stilt hut door. Toti held a large shell in his hand, but Finn wanted to take it from him. Both of them pulled at the found object and stamped their feet. „I saw the shell first!“ Toti shouted. Finn grumbled, „But you know that my collection still needs this one!“

Even the mosaics on the houses seemed to lose their colours, so sad did the argument look. Rosa saw that other Flossians were stopping too. No one knew how to settle the argument.

This is how Rosa Immergrün resolves conflicts

Rosa took a deep breath. The cool air was filled with the scent of cherry blossoms. She walked slowly between Toti and Finn. In a calm voice, she asked them both to stop. „Wait, let’s not argue. Let’s talk and find a solution that makes you both happy.“ The two Flossians paused, as no one could speak as kindly as Rosa Evergreen.

„Why is the shell so important to you?“ Rosa asked Toti. Toti looked down at his feet awkwardly. „It's like my favourite colour, glittery and magical. I wanted it for my mosaic wall on the house.“ Rosa nodded. „And why do you need it, Finn?“ Finn sighed. „It's the last one I need to complete my collection. Then I can show everything to the others.“

Strong together in the Neftal

Rosa thought for a moment. Then she suggested, „What do you think about putting the shell in Finn's collection first? After that, it can go on Toti's wall. And you two can collect a new mosaic together from the most beautiful shells. This way, a special work of art will be created that brings joy to everyone.“

Finn and Toti looked at each other. At first, they were sceptical, but they sensed that Rosa was right. If they cooperated, both would gain something. Rosa showed them that listening is important. That's how friends understand what moves the other. Toti smiled cautiously. Finn held out his hand to him, and they both laughed. The argument was over!

Tips for good cohesion in the Neflental

In the gentle morning light, as the first sunbeams fell upon the stilt houses, Rosa told the others something important: „If there's trouble, let's talk together. Questions help more than shouting. If everyone tells how they feel, we can find a solution. And if we work together in the end, we'll be stronger than alone.“

The Flossians were happy. They admired the new seashell mosaic that Toti and Finn soon created together. It told of friendship, togetherness, and the courage to take the first step to end a dispute.

What do we learn from this?

Even in the Neflental, there are sometimes disagreements. But if you listen, ask, and think together, you'll find the best way. You can resolve conflicts yourselves if you are open and don't exclude anyone. This is how friendships grow. A friendly word can change a lot and turns every argument into a brand new story.
