Cool and punctual in the Neflental: A day with Rosa Immergrün

In the Neflental, the fern meadows sparkled like an emerald sea. Summer swayed between the towering bracken. The sun shone like gold, the air smelled of herbs and happiness. Colourful blossoms grew everywhere on the roofs of the wooden houses, and by early evening, lanterns were already floating silently in the sky. The time of the Glanzhoch had arrived, and for everyone, that meant grand summer festivals by the lake!

But it wasn't time yet. Rosa Evergreen tiptoed quietly out of her little house under the fernleaf roof. Today she was to announce the start of the festival, and precisely on time like a sundial! But what did it really mean to be cool and punctual?

Practising punctuality in the fern meadows

The sun rises early in its full glory, so she got up with the first ray of sunshine. She looked at her small hourglass and considered how she could keep track of time. After all, being on time makes life easier. Everyone is happy when they know someone will arrive on time. That way, they can start together and no one misses out on the fun.

On the bank of the little river, Rosa met Grom, the goatherd. He had to take his animals to pasture. Grom often had trouble remembering when the day begins. Rosa showed him a trick: „Imagine the rooster as an alarm clock. If he crows, it's time to go!“ Grom nodded, smiled, and found the idea cool. That's how you quickly learn to be punctual.

As she continued her walk through the fern meadows, she could already hear the first notes of cheerful music. The other meadow gnomes were hurriedly cleaning the lanterns. Bright ribbons fluttered between the houses in coral red and sapphire blue. Children laughed and ran through the tall grass with their goats. Everyone wanted to be on time so that no fun was missed.

Upon arriving at the market square, Rosa realised that punctuality helps everyone else too. Only when everyone starts together will the festival be unforgettable. Those who arrived late often missed the best stories around the campfire or the first dance song under the light of the lanterns. So Rosa knew: those who are cool and punctual gain friends and adventures!

Punctuality makes life easier

Now the big moment had arrived. She took a deep breath, rang the small copper bell, and called out: „The festival begins!“ Everyone immediately gathered on the meadow. The warm sunbeams sparkled on the water. The music began and small boats with colourful flags glided on the river. Rosa grinned, as everything was working out as she had planned.

Later, around the campfire, the children recounted the day's events. They agreed: being on time isn't just honest, it's also really cool! You don't miss anything, and it shows others that they are important to you. Everyone who arrived punctually for the festival could see the lanterns glittering and hear the meadow gnomes singing.
