Strong Together in Neflental – An Adventure in the Water Lily Bay

The peak of the year begins today in the heart of the Neflental. This is the most beautiful time of summer. The sun shines high in the sky, bathing everything in golden and amber hues. Sparkling rivers meander through the valley. Everywhere, the water shines sapphire blue, and tiny sparks dance on the waves. Colourful festivals are being celebrated. Cheerful people sit everywhere on the riverbanks, laughing, singing and waving lanterns that drift gently through the warm summer twilight.

Amidst this festive atmosphere, Rosa Immergrün and her friends are hatching a secret plan. They want to win the annual water lily race. To do this, they meet at Water Lily Bay, a quiet corner of the crystal-clear lake. Many large, round leaves swim there close together. White water lilies bloom between them, while colourful fish glide beneath the surface. Dragonflies buzz in the sun, their wings shimmering brilliantly.

A competition begins

All the friends are excited. Each team is supposed to build a water lily boat out of leaves and paddle it to the colourful light sphere in the middle of the bay. A task like this has a lot to do with team spirit, because no one can manage it alone. Some say they are strong enough and could do it, but Rosa Immergrün knows that they will only be unbeatable together.

Your friends – the clever Buchian from the beech forest, a brave Flossian from the crystal lake, a nimble Bergstein from the mountains, and a shy white elf from the Nefel lake – want to build a boat each, by themselves, at first. However, the lily pads tear if you touch them alone, and when trying to paddle, the boat spins in circles and doesn't move forward.

Team spirit brings success

Rosa Immergrün calls out: “Come on, let's give it a try together! Everyone is good at something different. If we stick together, we're unbeatable!” The clever Buchianer knows how to bind the pages properly. The Flossianer shows how to glide through the water the fastest. The Bergsteins makes sure everything holds together firmly, and the little elf takes on control and balance.

Suddenly, it’s quite easy. They laugh, working hand in hand, and the new boat becomes strong and large. The sun bathes everything in a lush emerald green. The water gleams a rich sapphire blue as they dip their paddles into it. Together, they glide across the smooth surface. Their boat sails faster than all the others. Dragonflies accompany them, and around them, sunbeams dance on the waves.

Arrival at destination

As they reach the colourful ball, colourful lanterns rise above the lily pond. The fish do somersaults in the water. Everyone on the shore cheers because the best team has won. They not only completed the race but also realised: Each individual is important, but together they are truly unbeatable!

The summer evening glows in warm coral red. Around the campfire, friends recount their adventure. The sun slowly sinks behind the mountains, and the Neflental falls asleep. Anyone listening closely can still hear quiet laughter coming from the water lily bay – because that’s what team spirit feels like.
