Problem-Solving in the Beechwood: An Adventure with Rosie Evergreen

In the Neflental, the trees put on a particularly beautiful display in autumn. When Sturmwind visits the valley, the colourful leaves dance like tiny flames through the cool air. On this day, the beech forest of the Buchianer awoke in the morning mist, and everything sparkled in copper, cinnamon, and crimson. In the roots and trunks of the mighty beech trees, the Buchianer softly whispered stories. Many of them told of the Neflensee, which lies like a mysterious mirror in the valley. They celebrated big festivals together around the harvest of the beech nuts.

Rosa Immergrün and the Missing Beech Nuts

On a windy autumn morning, the villagers of Buchia noticed something strange: the new harvest of beech nuts had suddenly disappeared! Without the nuts, they couldn't celebrate their grand autumn festival, and everyone was bewildered. Many searched through the fallen leaves for clues. The wind danced through the golden foliage, casting ghostly silhouettes on the forest floor. Stories hung in the air, shimmering like sparks between the trees.

Rosa Immergrün heard the whispers of the others and decided to help. She knew: Problem-solving skills were needed now! Rosa Immergrün first considered where the little nuts might be. Perhaps someone had hidden them? Or had the wind carried them away? She asked the old storytellers in the mist, who spoke of past adventures. But no one had seen anything.

With creativity and courage to find a solution

Rosa Immergrün took a deep breath. She listened to the sounds of the storm. The leaves swirled with the spirals of wind, and in the distance, she heard a faint cracking sound. Thus, she followed the sound, which led her to a small hill. There, nestled in the soft leaves, Rosa Immergrün discovered mysterious tracks. She placed her hand on the earth. Then, she felt that small animals had been nearby.

Rosa Immergrün had a new idea: the beech nuts had perhaps become a gift for the forest animals! She looked for more clues. With every step, she discovered more nutshells and tiny paw prints in the coppery leaves.

She followed the tracks to an old beech tree, its branches reaching like arms into the misty sky. Beneath the beech lay a pile of beechnuts. Squirrels scampered amongst the roots, busily gathering. But one was left behind – tangled in a dense pile of leaves.

Quickly, Pink Periwinkle helped the little squirrel. It blinked kindly and thanked her in its own way. Because Pink Periwinkle was so kind, the squirrel pushed out a few beech nuts from the pile. Now she could fetch enough nuts for the feast.

Celebrate, Solve and Share in the Neflental

The Buchians were very happy when Rosa Immergrün returned with the collected nuts. She told them about her adventure and how she had come up with new ideas. Together they laughed and praised Rosa Immergrün for her brave thinking. The animals also received a share of the harvest because they belong to life in the beech forest.

The grand autumn festival could begin – amidst dancing, music, and warm light. In the evenings, when the fog, with its howling song, surrounded the village, the Buchians continued the story of Rosa Immergrün. The sparkling tales remained in the air like glowing embers.

What do we learn from this?

Rosa Immergrün has shown how important problem-solving thinking is in everyday life. With courage, creativity and friendship, she found a solution. This meant the festival could still take place. Together, any adventure can be overcome – if you think things through together and help each other. Memories of such experiences make life in the Neflental as colourful as the leaves in autumn.
