With order to a cool life in the Neflental

A new spring day begins in the Neflental. Mist drifts gently over the meadows. Rosa the Periwinkle wakes up early because she has an important task today. The Periwinkle healers have asked Rosa to look for special herbs in the mist garden. Everything grows there wild and mixed up, and sometimes you can easily get lost.

Into the misty garden!

Rosa pulls her small shoulder bag tighter and sets off. Her feet will soon be damp, as the fog garden is full of dew. Wisps of mist dance between the rare plants. The scent of mint leaves and lavender fills the air, and Rosa breathes deeply to find peace.

Rosa soon noticed that she couldn't just find the herbs. In the fog, everything looked similar, and from her gathering spot, it all seemed like a big green jumble. She thought for a moment and considered: „With order, I find what's important much more easily. That way, I won't lose anything anymore and I'll save time!“

A system for the mist garden

Rosa ponders how best to proceed. First, she looks for a large, glittering stone snail, which always lives at the edge of the clearing. Then, she resolves to lay out all the plants in groups at first. The blue flowers go on a small stone, she places the fragrant moss in a soft leaf, and she gathers the bright yellow flowers in an old mushroom cap.

So an overview slowly takes shape. With each step, her basket becomes tidier and more organised. This is even fun, and Rosa hums a quiet melody. Because she finds organisation so lovely, she later helps a little Flossian friend sort her own collected herbs in the same way.

The Violet Grove – the magic of order

After Rosa has found her herbs in the foggy garden, her path leads her on to the hidden violet clearing. This clearing is enclosed by trees, and colourful violets and crocuses grow on the ground. Everything gleams in violet, sun-yellow, leaf-green and pearly grey mist. In the centre stands an ancient statue with a mossy beard.

Rosa places the herbs neatly around the statue. The order in the circle allows her to see exactly which plant she is using for which healing. This teaches her that order not only helps when collecting, but also when all the healers put their treasures together. The sun shines through the treetops and hits the statue's eyes with small rays. It looks as if the statue is winking at Rosa for being so diligent and tidy.

Order is fun when done together

On her way home, Rosa meets up with her friends. She shows them how she's organised her collected treasures, and everyone is amazed by the colourful display. „Life is much cooler with organisation,“ one of them exclaims, „because we save time for playing and celebrating!“

In the evening, Rosa sits by the fire and tells the other children how she mastered the misty garden. Everyone laughs, because with a good plan, everything is much easier. And so, everyone resolves to bring a little more order tomorrow.

What do we learn from this?

With a little tidiness, life becomes more colourful and cheerful. In the Misty Garden and on the Violet Meadow, Rosa has discovered that it's easier to find what you're looking for. And tidying up together is actually great fun. Those who have a good overview can finish much faster later on – and then there's more time for discovering, laughing, and meeting friends.
