Mindfulness in the peak of glory: Pink Periwinkle discovers the Bern Flower Grove
A new day begins in Neflental under a glorious glow. The sun bathes the summer plateau in warm, golden sunlight. Small lakes glitter everywhere, and the crystal rivers gleam like sapphires. Rosa Immergrün, the Pink Periwinkle, wakes up and hears the joyful laughter of the revellers sitting on the bank. Lanterns float through the twilight. Everything is full of life and colour. Yet today, Rosa Immergrün's heart feels a little heavy.
Rosa Immergrün seeks peace
Amidst colourful festivals and loud music, Rosa Immergrün longs for a moment of quiet. She wants to gather her thoughts and feel her breath. So she slowly gets up and leaves the exuberant revelry on the lake shore. She follows a small path through the emerald green grass, forgetting everything around her. Each step takes her further away from the hustle and bustle.
Arrival at Bernblütenhain
After a short time, she reaches the Bernblossom Grove. Here grow golden-yellow blossoms that waft their scent. It smells of honey and summer rain. Rosa Immergrün sits down in the middle of the blossoms. The air shimmers in amber hues, and the wind plays quiet melodies. Rosa Immergrün closes her eyes and listens.
She takes a deep breath. Immediately she feels her tummy rise and fall. A butterfly lands on a flower. Pink Periwinkle watches it without moving. She feels her worries shrinking. The voices of the revellers by the river fade into the background.
Mindfulness makes everyday life colourful
Rosa Immergrün reaches her fingertips towards the sun-gold blossoms. She feels the cool dew water on the leaves. In this moment, she thinks neither of yesterday nor of tomorrow. She only feels the warm sun on her skin and hears the gentle humming of bees between the golden-yellow blossoms. This is how her everyday life becomes more relaxed and colourful.
In the Neflental, days are sometimes full of sounds, colours, and adventures. But sometimes it's important to pause. Mindfulness helps Rosa Immergrün to savour every small moment. A sunbeam on her arms, the chirping of birds, the shimmering sapphire-blue river – everything becomes special and precious.
Back to colourful life
As the sun slowly sinks lower, painting the sky in coral red, Pink Perennial stands up. Her heart feels light now. The colourful lanterns still float gently above the heads of the revellers. Pink Perennial returns and rejoins the circle. She laughs, dances, and shares her joy. Because she was mindful for a few minutes in the Honeyflower Grove, she now feels happy and full of energy.
She shows her friends how important it is to sometimes close your eyes and feel life very intently. Soon they are sitting together in the Bernblütenhain, feeling the wind and hearing the rustling of the golden-yellow leaves.
What do we learn from this?
Sometimes everyday life in the Neflental is very loud and colourful. Then it's good to be mindful, like Rosa Immergrün. Whoever opens their eyes to the small miracles will become more relaxed and happier. Because even in the midst of the hustle and bustle, a short break in the Bernblütenhain brings radiance back to the heart.
