Despite several reports indicating „weak demand“ for the iPhone X, Apple's most expensive smartphone model to date is proving to be very popular. Recent estimates from IHS Markit Tatsächlich hat Apple im ersten Quartal 2018 12,7 Millionen Einheiten seines Flaggschiff-Geräts ausgeliefert, was das iPhone X zum meistverkauften Smartphone der Welt macht.
Even though the number of devices shipped is significantly lower than what Apple achieved a year earlier with the iPhone 7 Plus (18.3 million), it is still remarkable that the ultra-modern (and expensive) iPhone X has beaten every other model on the market. Samsung's most popular model was the Galaxy Grand Prime Plus, an entry-level model costing less than $150.
As our graphic illustrates, dominate Apple and Samsung the top 10 list for the first quarter of 2018. IHS cites the delay in the release of new models as the likely reason for the absence of mobile phones from Chinese manufacturers on the list.
