With these tips, your confidence will grow every day – A story from the Neflental

Spring had arrived in the Neflental. Dewdrops sparkled over the fern meadows, and in the Silvermoss Grove, shimmering points of light danced on the mossy ground. Rosa Immergrün leapt joyfully through the soft moss. She wanted to visit her best friend today, but she felt uncertain. Her heart beat a little faster.

Willow branches hung from the small pond like green curtains down into the water. The moss on the ground glowed silvery. Lovely moss nymphs flitted back and forth between the roots, looked at Rosa Periwinkle and whispered softly to each other. The day was mild, the wind light.

Taking the first step

Rosa Immergrün stood at the edge of the Silver Moss Grove. She knew her friend was waiting on the Violet Clearing. But one thought troubled her: what if she did something wrong? Then she remembered an important tip she had learned in the Neflental valley. To build self-confidence, one should simply take the first step. So Rosa Immergrün took a deep breath, bravely set off, and quietly told herself: „Today I will dare.“

Letting yourself be helped

On the way to the Violet Glade, Rosa Immergrün heard a rustle in the moss. Suddenly, she stopped and felt a little alone. Then a small moss nymph emerged from her hiding place. She looked kindly at Rosa Immergrün and asked, „Do you need help?“ Rosa Immergrün nodded, as she had lost her way. Together, they found the right path. Another tip became so clear to her: Those who ask for help show strength. Because no one can manage everything alone.

Discover your own strengths

Soon, the violet glade opened before them. Colourful crocuses, yellow sunbeams, and green grass painted a glorious picture. In the middle stood a stone statue, covered in moss. The statue's eyes sparkled in the light. Pink Periwinkle stood before it and said to herself, „Everyone has special strengths.“ She thought about the advice she had gathered from friends and the wise Buchians. She was good at being observant and encouraging others when they were sad. With each thought of it, her courage grew.

Accepting one's own feelings

The warm sunbeams made the violets blossom in vibrant colours. Rosa Periwinkle sensed that she was sometimes nervous or afraid. However, she learned to allow these feelings. Because fear also belonged to her. She learned to accept herself and to treat herself with love. Her self-confidence grew slowly, day by day, like the colourful flowers on the clearing.

To try something new

Rosa Immergrün discovered a patch of violet flowers at the edge of the violet clearing, which she had never entered before. She pondered. Should she embark on a new adventure? She recalled another tip from the Neflental: always try something new! She took a few steps towards the crocuses. The grass was ticklish and full of life, yet she felt brave. She laughed because it felt so good to try something she had never done before.

Friendship makes you strong

In the middle of the clearing, her friend was already waiting. Together they looked at the statue, played in the grass, and told each other about their experiences. Rosa Immergrün realised: with friends at your side, many things are easier. Because friendship gives strength, and together self-confidence grows even faster.

What do we learn from this?

If you try your courage like Rosa Immergrün, trust others and discover your strengths, you can grow a little every day. Sometimes it takes many small steps.
