Endless laughter in the Neflental
The sun shines particularly brightly in the Neflental today. Glanzhoch, the big summer festival, is just around the corner. Residents bustle about excitedly everywhere. The air shimmers in gold and amber, rivers sparkle, and even the blades of grass seem to dance. Today, as they say, is the happiest day of the entire year.
Rosa Immergrün jumps joyfully through the tall grass. She's been planning a prank all morning because she knows humour makes every day better. After all, endless laughter is a must at the Glanzhoch festival! She then discovers the lily pad bay on the edge of the crystal lake. It smells sweet there, and delicate white flowers rest on the large leaves. Colourful fish glide elegantly beneath them, and dragonflies whirl sparklingly through the warm air.
Because Rosa Periwinkle is always up for a bit of fun, she decides to invite the residents. With a loud voice, she calls out: „Come to the Water Lily Bay! Endless laughter awaits you here!“ Many friends quickly follow her call, because everyone knows that the day will be more wonderful thanks to humour.
Humour at a sparkly wedding
Everyone sits down on the warm stones at the bank, waiting in eager anticipation. The air is filled with sparkle, music, and cheerful voices. Pink Periwinkle begins to tell amusing stories about forgotten hats, dancing tadpoles and floating lily pads. Her eyes twinkle as she pulls one funny face after another. The children giggle loudly, and even the adult Buchianers hold their stomachs with laughter. The mood is so jolly that even the dragonflies do a lap of honour above the heads of the revellers. With every joke, the laughter grows louder, so much so that it rings out across the water like bells.
Suddenly, a water lily lands on a Flossian's head. „Oh no, now I have a flower hat!“ he exclaims. He strikes a funny pose, and everyone bursts into laughter again. Rosa Immergrün calls out, „You see, with a bit of humour, anything can become an adventure!“ So they dance in the sun's gold, laugh endlessly, and paint silly fish on their cheeks. The colours sapphire blue, coral red, and emerald green shine particularly brightly that day.
Laughter connects people
As the sun slowly disappears behind the Dragon's Tooth Mountains, the inhabitants light small campfires. Colourful lanterns float silently into the twilight. Still, no one stops laughing. Rosa Immergrün hops from group to group, telling jokes and making even the shiest Immergrü green giggle. Sometimes tears even roll down cheeks – but only because the laughter is so great.
Children run around the fire, dancing in a circle and shouting: „Endless laughter makes everything better!“ The adults nod, knowing that a day with humour is twice as easy. On the shore, the light of the flames reflects in the lake, and even the shimmering dragonflies seem to chuckle at the jokes.
What do we learn from this?
Endless laughter makes life more colourful. With humour, every day is easier, because cheerful thoughts are contagious. Even the greatest sorrow disappears when friends laugh and joke together. And anyone who has experienced such a day will feel the magic of the Neflental in their heart for a long time.
