Generosity in the Neflental: A Special Story

In Neflental, the days of the Glittering Festival were truly special. The sun sent golden and amber rays across the vast meadows. Everything sparkled as if someone had scattered a thousand tiny gemstones. People, dressed in colourful clothes, sat by the lakeshores and celebrated. Lanterns glowed everywhere, floating silently in the twilight. The Glittering Festival was a cheerful and bright summer for everyone in Neflental.

A morning at the lily pond

One morning, the water lily bay awoke very quietly. The sun painted sapphire-blue and coral-red patches on the water. Large round leaves and delicate white flowers floated on the lake. Beneath them, colourful fish danced, and glittering dragonflies hovered above the water. It smelled of fresh water and warm moss. Pink Periwinkle hopped cheerfully along the bank, waving to the Flossians who were already splashing in the water.

A key task

On this day, a grand celebration of light was to be held on the banks of Lilypad Bay. Preparations were everywhere: lanterns were hung, tables were set up, and flower garlands were being tied. Many people were helping out. But suddenly, a little periwinkle came running up in a great state of excitement and asked for help.

„The Flossians are sad,“ he shouted. „Their float is stuck deep in the bank's mud! They can't manage it alone.“

The others looked uncertainly at the lake. The mud was deep and very sticky. Everyone wanted to enjoy the glorious heights – but now?

Generosity makes the difference

Rosa Immergrün didn't hesitate for a moment. „Come on, let's go and help straight away!“ she called. But she wasn't strong enough to move the float on her own. So, she kindly asked the revellers on the riverbank if they would like to lend a hand together. At first, many looked hesitant. But then a Buchianer jumped down from a tree, a Flossianer swam to the bank, and even a few brave Bergsteins climbed down from the rocks.

They all pulled together. Their hands, their strength, and their courage united. They laughed and cheered each other on. After a mighty tug, the cart slowly lurched out of the mud. The Flossians cheered! Everyone helped everyone else – and they all felt how wonderful generosity can be.

Celebrating together makes you happier

The sun still sparkled more golden on the water, and lanterns reflected in the lake. The colourful group now sat together on the bank, eating sweet summer berries and listening to stories. They laughed, sang and shared the food. Even those who had hesitated at first were glad to have helped.

Rosa Immergrün began to place fresh flowers on the float. The Flossians smiled gratefully. Generosity had truly made the festival wonderful. Everyone felt like heroes. It wasn't about receiving something, but about giving something.

At the end of the day, Lilypad Bay shimmered in the light of many small lanterns. The summer night sparkled with friendship and warmth. Everyone in NeflDale knew: those who generously help others are true heroes. This opens the heart and brings joy to all.
