Why forgiveness makes you strong – and how to learn it!
In the Neflental, every glorious morning begins with radiant light. The sky glows in gold and sapphire blue. Sparks of light dance over the grasses and small lakes as if they were tiny stars. Pink Periwinkle walks along a babbling river. She feels the warm amber rain tickling her feet. The air tastes of summer and honey. It is a day when anything seems possible. Yet today, Pink Periwinkle still feels heavy of heart.
A problem in the Bern Blossom Grove
On the edge of the sparkling crystal lake lies the Bernblossom Grove. There, blossoms grow in sun-gold. Their scent is reminiscent of sweet summer rain. Here, the friends of Rosa Immergrün have gathered for a colourful celebration. Lanterns float above the water. Colourful garlands flutter gently in the wind. The revellers sit on the bank. They laugh and tell stories.
But Rosa Immergrün is having a falling out with a friend. A misunderstanding has cast a shadow over her happiness. Her friend has unintentionally hurt her. The words were like thorns in her heart. Rosa Immergrün can't quite forget her sorrow. She wonders: Why does forgiving sometimes hurt so much?
The Power of Forgiveness in the Neflental
Rosa Immergrün strolls along the edge of the Bernblossom Grove. The golden-yellow blossoms sway in the wind. She watches as a colourful butterfly lands on a flower. Suddenly, her friend sits down beside her. They are both silent at first. The sun glitters on the water. The light dances on their faces.
After a while, Rosa Immergrün took a deep breath and said softly, „I was sad. But actually, I'd rather laugh with you again.“ Her friend nodded and whispered, „I'm sorry. I didn't realise how much my words hurt you.“
Rosa Evergreen smiles. She notices her heart feels lighter. At that very moment, a scent of honey and summer rain wafts through the grove. All the flowers seem to shine brighter. She feels how good it is to let go and forgive.
How to Learn Forgiveness
In the Neflental, forgiveness is reminiscent of a warm summer rain. When you forgive, new strength grows within you. You are not weak when you forgive. You set your heart free. This way, you can laugh again and feel joy. Sometimes forgiveness isn't easy. But when you dare to do it, you will become stronger, braver, and happier.
Rosa Immergrün learns that everyone can make mistakes. And that it takes courage to forgive – no matter how small or large the argument was. Because just as the blossoms in the Neflental bloom even more beautifully after the rain, so too does a friendship grow stronger after forgiveness. It can then grow again, shine, and bring joy.
Celebrating together after forgiveness
By the campfire in the Bernblossom Grove, Rosa Immergrün and her friend sit side by side once more. They clasp hands and laugh. Above them, paper lanterns float. Around them, life dances in sun-gold, sapphire blue, and coral red. Music drifts softly through the night. Forgiveness has brought their hearts back together. They feel happiness and understand just how strong they truly are.
What do we learn from this?
Forgiveness doesn't make you weak, it makes you strong. You can choose to do it every day. Even if it sometimes takes courage. When you forgive, your heart grows. Then friendships can heal again – just as everything shines anew in the Neflental after the rain.
