Courage for the truth in the Neftal Valley
The Neflental is full of secrets and wonders. In late summer, when the meadows glow in gentle gold and the forests in midnight blue, everyone in the valley experiences special adventures. Rosa Immergrün awakens one morning in the fern forest as the first sunbeams dance through the giant leaves. The colours in the valley are particularly beautiful today: pearl-grey shimmers the dew, opal and gold glint between moss and grass.
A difficult day in the Neflental
In the heart of the valley, friends share stories by the fire. But today, the evergreens whisper softly to each other. Someone has taken the old storybooks from the root cave and secretly returned them. No one knows who it was. A mystery hangs in the air, and many exchange uncertain glances.
Rosa Immergrün can feel her friends' brooding. She wants everyone to be honest with each other. But courage to speak the truth is sometimes difficult. Especially when you fear you'll disappoint others. She remembers the golden sunset from the Pine Glow Peak the evening before. The pines glowed a deep red, as if everything were honest and beautiful for a moment.
The Path Across the Fir-Glow Summit
Rosa Immergrün decides to tell her friends the truth. She herself looked for an old fairy tale book last night. She wanted to know how the Dream Weavers once awakened the light in the forest. She was too shy to admit that she was curious and perhaps a little careless.
In the afternoon, Rosa Immergrün walks along the Dream Weaver's Path. The path is full of small, floating spheres of light. They bathe everything in opal, midnight blue, and gold. Like little suns, they dance through the branches. The path lights her way, even though her heart is pounding. At the end of the Dream Weaver's Path, Rosa Immergrün stands on the red summit. She breathes in the cool air and gathers all her courage. She knows the truth can be difficult at times. Yet she feels she must do what is right.
Courage for the truth: Dare to be real!
In the evening, Rosa Immergrün returns to the village. Everyone is already gathered around the fire. The Flossians are telling quiet jokes; the Buchians are listening. But Rosa Immergrün stands up. She says with a firm voice: „I have something to tell you. I was in the root cave yesterday. I wanted to learn more about the Dream Weavers. That's why I took out the book. I'm sorry I put it back without telling you I had been there. I was afraid you would laugh at me or be disappointed.“
Everything is silent for a moment. Then an older Buchian woman says gently, „Thank you for being honest. It takes courage to tell the truth.“ A Flossian laughs and says, „Now we can read the book together. That's twice the fun!“
Suddenly, everyone feels lighter. The friends are glad that Rosa Immergrün told the truth. Their own little mistakes and secrets no longer seem so bad either. Through the courage to tell the truth, trust grows between them. They realise how important it is to be honest and genuine. The glowing red of the Tannenglutkuppe and the magical light on the Traumweberpfad accompany them on this special evening.
What do we learn from this?
It can sometimes be difficult to have the courage to speak the truth because one might be afraid. But when you are honest, you feel freer. Friends stick by you, even if you make a mistake. In Neflental, the residents learn that openness and honesty create strong friendships. This way, they grow together and the golden light in their hearts shines even brighter than that of the Tannenglutkuppe.
