Together Stronger with Consideration: A Story from the Neflental

The time of the blossom watch had arrived in the Neflental. A fine mist lay on the valley floor, enveloping the evergreen fern meadows like a gentle veil. Pastel pink and pearl-white cherry blossoms carefully opened their delicate petals, while fine cobwebs glittered between the fern stems in the dawn light. Between the moss-covered trees, small mythical creatures quietly hopped about, watching the inhabitants of the fern meadows.

Together on the fern meadows of Evergreen

Many Evergreens were busy. They wanted to prepare the Evergreen fern meadows for the big flower festival. Colourful ribbons were strung up everywhere and small tables were set up between the fern houses. Work was also being done on John Evergreen's house. From his roof terrace, one could see the glittering lake of the Flossians, which shone particularly beautifully today in the morning light.

Everyone helped. But sometimes the Evergreens didn't realise how important consideration was. One ran through the damp cobwebs, another accidentally snapped off one of the delicate cherry blossoms. Some mythical creatures retreated in fright into the shadows, afraid of being overlooked.

Rosa Immergrün has an idea

Then Rosa Immergrün came running through the fern meadows. She saw that some friends were getting tired and others were getting annoyed. So she stopped in the middle of the meadow and called out, „Let's slow down! Only if we look after each other can we celebrate the flower festival properly.“ The Immergrüns looked at each other and nodded. They noticed that someone was sad because their favourite flower had been broken.

Together, they first gathered the flowers from the paths so as not to tread on anything further. The mythical creatures came closer and helped to shake the dew drops from the ribbons. Some of the evergreens stepped aside so that the smaller ones could get better access to the decorations.

With consideration, celebrations are successful

After a while, the houses of the Evergreens shone with the pastel pink of cherry blossoms and the lilac of violets. The meadows were adorned, without anyone forgetting the importance of consideration. One helped another. Someone fetched water, another handed over something to eat. They laughed together and everyone felt comfortable. This is how the Blossom Watch became special for everyone.

As the sun rose higher, everyone gathered on the rooftop terrace of John Evergreen's house. From there, they could see the shimmering lake, which now sparkled in emerald green and pearly white. The mythical creatures shyly waved back. Everyone laughed and felt proud, for they had shown that with consideration, they could be strong together and celebrate the flower festival in a particularly beautiful way.

What do we learn from this?

Things work better in everyday life when we look out for each other. It's fun when everyone helps and no one is forgotten. Together we are strong when we are friendly and listen to each other. That way, every task becomes easier. And every celebration becomes beautiful – like in the Neflental during the blossom watch.
