An API ecosystem describes the interaction of many different software interfaces (APIs) that are networked with each other and exchange data or functions. Imagine the API ecosystem as a large network of roads, on which information is sent back and forth quickly between different cities (that is, software applications or machines). This enables companies to connect different systems and design more efficient processes.
